T20 Champions League- The Revolution Is Here
After the huge success of IPL , cricket world is all set to take another step forward with the inaugurating T20 Champions League which is to be held in India from 3-10 of December.
It is a six-million dollar tournament which will feature 8 T20 clubs. Among which, 2 teams from IPL, 2 from Australia, 2 from South Africa & 1 each from Pakistan & England.
The teams to feature are the 2 IPL finalists- Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, Western Australia and Victoria (Australia), Titans and Dolphins (South Africa), Middlesex (England) and Sialkot Stallions(Pakistan).
The teams will be divided into two groups for a preliminary league, from where the top two teams will advance to the semi-finals. The venues have been set within the 3 biggest cricket centers in India – Mohali, Hydrabad & Mumbai. Mumbai is all set to hold the champions league T20 final where the other matches will be held is yet to be announced.
The commercial right of this series has been bought by ESPN-Star network for an amount of whopping 900 million dollars.
The T20 Champions League with the lucrative money and big players is expected to attract a huge number of spectators & especially it will look forward to attract some new spectators which will definitely do good to the game of cricket.
